What types of items can I sell on Neighborhood Exchange?
You can sell almost anything that can be safely exchanged locally – including furniture, electronics, clothes, and home goods. However, we do not accept prohibited items such as firearms, illegal goods, or hazardous materials

Can I set my own price, or does Neighborhood Exchange suggest pricing?
Yes, you can set your own price! When filling out the form, we ask for a minimum price for your item. Neighborhood Exchange works to get the best possible value for your item without going below the price you set.
How long does a listing stay active?
Most items sell within a few days, but listings can remain active for up to 30 days. If your item hasn’t sold by then, you’ll receive a notification with options to adjust the price and relist, retrieve the item, or donate it through our partners. If no action is taken within 60 days after the notification, the item will automatically be donated.

How does Neighborhood Exchange handle item pickups?
We handle all logistics to make selling simple. After you submit the form, one of our Neighborhood Professionals will meet you at your specified time and location to collect the item. We manage everything from there.

Can I schedule a pickup at a specific time?
Absolutely! When submitting your item, you can choose a preferred pickup time in the form. We offer flexible scheduling to fit your availability.

Does Neighborhood Exchange charge for pickup and delivery services?
Pickup and delivery are included in our platform fee, which is only applied after your item sells. There are no upfront or hidden fees – just a seamless process from start to finish.

Can I sell large or bulky items that need special transportation?
Yes! We handle large and bulky items such as furniture and appliances. Just indicate in the form if your item requires special handling, and we’ll arrange the appropriate transportation.
